Boo.

We are adding a member to the family and are so excited to finally post about it! Baby Boo will be making his or her debut around Halloween this year.

We told Kennedy a few weeks ago, right before we told our families. Since then, she has told her teachers at school and gymnastics, and a few strangers along the way. She's pretty proud and excited to be a Big Sister.

Kennedy is a little mommy with her babies and I think she will be a nurturing Big Sister. She knows there is a baby in mommy's tummy and likes to talk to Baby Boo (and will get frustrated when she can't see the baby in my belly button). Sometimes if she gives me a tight squeeze she worries she might squish the baby, but i keep telling her the baby loves her hugs.

Since meeting baby Jackson and baby Owen, she has pretty much been obsessed with babies. She tells me and Greg that she wants to "grow down" and be a baby again. Often times you will see her pretending to learn how to walk/crawl, take a bottle and play with her piggies...like babies do. She also likes to tell me when baby Boo cries, she will offer a paci and put him/her in a crate. There's some confusion over crate/cradle. I promise, Olive is the only one who sleeps in a crate.

If you ask Kennedy if Boo is a girl or a boy, she will tell you that Boo is a BAAY-bee. Plain and simple. We didn't find out the gender when I was pregnant with Kennedy, and our plan is to wait until the delivery room this time around, too!

This first trimester has been a little rougher go than it was with Kennedy. Thanks to some ginger candies and morning sickness tea, I've been doing ok. Surely chasing after her all day has a little something to do with it. But I am starting to feel a little better and get some of my energy back.

A proud Big Sister and Baby Boo at 12 weeks.

  1. Congratulations!!! We're welcoming a little girl in 4 weeks 6 days (not that I'm counting) and my 2 year old son is so excited. I'm not sure how excited he'll be once she gets here. :)
